Today (5.25) is National Wine Day! We get it; if you’re a serious wine person, you probably don’t need a fabricated holiday to bust out a bottle. However, for the rest of us, Wine Day offers a bonanza of deals (mostly on table wine). Check out the highlights.
Ever since the Amazon acquisition, the high end supermarket has been cutting prices. Wine is no exception. Rosé has been on sale all spring, but in honor of Wine Day, the popular blend is marked down an additional 20%.
The online retailer is getting in on the action with—what else—a promotion code. Until May 31, the code “THRILLWINE” will get you 10% off your order.
Wine Spies is another online retailer. The site works off the “curated” model, offering a smaller selection of handpicked wines at discounted prices. Today, the code “WINEDAY” will get you a 10% discount on your order.
If your city is being ravaged by a dearth of affordable housing, you probably want to skip this one in protest. But, if you’re all about the tech share economy, AirBnB has got some deals for you. The short term rental company is branching out into “experiences” which is just a branded term for tours or tastings. Today, wine experiences are just $1. The only catch—those one buck tours must be taken on May 26 or May 27. (And, of course, they can sell out quick.)
Last year, the big box store launched their own line of $5 wines. Now, Target is introducing big boxes of wines to their inventory. Called “Wine Cubes,” the 3L (4 bottle) boxes o’ wine launched today and are available in at least nine different varietals. Pricing varies by state, but generally comes in around $16—for now.
