James Beard Foundation Crowns Award Winners

On Monday (4.7), the stars of the hospitality community gathered at Chicago’s Lyric Opera House for the annual James Beard Foundation Awards ceremony. New Orleans’ Cure took home the medal for Outstanding Bar Program, Charleston’s FIG won Outstanding Wine Program, and Miljenko Grgich was honored as Outstanding Wine, Spirits, or Beer Professional. Outstanding Bar Program (Presented by Woodford Reserve Bourbon)
A restaurant or bar that demonstrates excellence in cocktail, spirits, and/or beer service.

A restaurant in operation five or more years that serves as a standard bearer for excellence in wine service through a well-presented wine list, knowledgeable staff, and efforts to educate customers about wine.

A beer, wine, or spirits professional who has made a significant national impact on the restaurant industry.
