Get The Strap: 50 Cent Unveils His Own Champagne

By Neat Pour Staff |

James St. Patrick might be expanding the wine list at Truth soon. 50 Cent (neé Curtis Jackson) now has his own line of champagne. Meet Le Chemin du Roi (The King’s Path) from Champagne Castelnau, the new Fif branded bubbly. #GetTheStrap

“I only want to present the best,” said Fitty in a statement. “Partnering with Castelnau to create Le Chemin du Roi, which is a refined and special cuvée, allows me to offer this rare Champagne to the masses.”

The range includes a brut ($199), a rosé ($325), and a blanc de blancs ($999). However, only the rosé is available currently.

And that rosé has the rap and screen icon’s fingerprints all over it. Fans of the star’s Starz series Power will recognize the chess king featured in the opening titles. “We take great pride in delivering a flawless taste of victory with a 14 karat rose gold-plated cross of the king on every bottle,” said the champagne house on social media.

As for the tasting notes, that doesn’t really seem to be the point. Instead, the focus is on the vibe. Fif, himself, describes the beverage as “for winners only.”

The product, distributed exclusively by Southern Wines & Spirits, is not the first celebrity collaboration for Castelnau. The house was also responsible for Mariah Carey’s “Angel” champagne.

Likewise, M. Cent is no stranger to the beverage game. He previously hyped his minority stakes in Vitamin Water and then Effen Vodka. Still the champagne market seems especially promising especially give the success of past hip-hop partnerships like Jay-Z’s Armand de Brignac produced “Ace of Spades.”
