The Mai Tai is hands down Trader Vic’s most famous creation. “It’s a great expression of all that Tiki is. It’s funky rum, fresh juice, a little bit of a floral and rich syrup, and then you have a Barbados made orange liquor,” explained Nick Detrich of New Orleans’ Cane & Table.

Detrich adds that the Mai tai is perfect for the season. “it’s a nice summer drink. It’s bracing, it’s funky, it’s refreshing, and it’s really easy to drink — and dangerous.”
