Jack Daniels Gets Into RTD Game With Flavors Cans

By Neat Pour Staff |

It’s no secret that ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails are booming right now with Nielsen reporting record sales of the category throughout the pandemic. Following this success, the big distillers are getting in the game. Jack Daniels just introduced a range of three canned cocktails.

JD actually began experimenting with bottled RTD cocktails distributed in limited test markets as early as 2010. However, the new range—canned and massed distribute —looks to be the final product.

The flagship expression is a classic combo, Jack & Cola. At 7% ABV, the drink might be a little weaker than some collegiate devotees prefer. There’s also 7% Jack, Honey, and Lemonade as well as a highball marketed at Jack & Seltzer. Marketing materials tout the latter offering for it’s 5% ABV, 0 carbs specs

“We are always listening to our friends and these new canned cocktails will be a convenient and refreshing way for them to enjoy our Tennessee Whiskey with a selection of wonderful flavors,” said Lisa Hunter, JD Flavors Brand Director, in a release. “Each drink is perfectly balanced to highlight the flavors of our charcoal-mellowed whiskey in a drinkable and convenient format.”

Over the next month, expect to see the Jack cans in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Hampshire, Nevada, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

MSRP is $12.99 for a four-pack of 12 oz. cans and $3.99 for a single can.

It’s been a busy run for the Brown-Forman subsidiary. Last week, they also rolled out Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Cocktail Bitters, a sort of all-purpose, aromatic bitter.
