In February 2020, Joe Fee, the high profile co-owner of bitters OG Fee Brothers, passed away. This week, his nephews stepped up to preserve their forebearers’ legacy, keeping the company in the family for a fifth generation.
Jon Spacher and Benn Fee Spacher assumed an equity stake in Fee Brothers, along with their aunt Ellen Fee, a long time presence in the bitters legend.
Jon Spacher will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer, with a focus on global sales and administration
“It is my privilege to stand on the shoulders of our Aunt Ellen, Uncle Joe, and generations who came before them,” said Jon Spacher in a press release. “I’m proud of our rich history, grateful for our crew, and excited to meet and thank our customers.
Benn Spacher will serve as Chief Operating Officer and handle production and distribution. The move marks a return to Spacher’s high school workplace.
“I’m excited by the challenge of meeting increasing domestic and international demand and am confident that our great team will meet that need. We’re committed to our customers, and our reputation of producing quality products,” said Spacher.
Dan Welch, who served as Interim CEO after Joe Fee’s death, will assume the position of Chief Financial Officer. Ellen Fee will maintain a consulting position throughout the 2021 transition.
