Official reports have not yet included property loss, but reports are beginning to trickle in. Along the Silverado Trail, the 41-year-old Chateau Boswell was swallowed by flames. The Calistoga Ranch is also destroyed according to several local reports.

The Boss Colada is an early creation of Nick Detrich and one of the signature drinks of Cane & Table, his proto-tike hotspot. The drink is an exercise in balance between bitter snaps and Peychaud’s and a tiki medley that would make Don the Beachcomber proud.
NOTE: Said delicate balance has been complicated by a shift in the Baska formula towards the bitter side. The original recipe follows and those attempting to build it should experiment a little, reducing the Baska and/or increase a sweeter ingredient.
- Prepare a pilsner glass by filling it with crushed or pebble ice. I
- Combine all ingredients except the bitters and the garnish, in a cocktail shaker. Add cubed ice.
- Double strain into the pilsner glass.
- Top with the bitters and garnish with the lime wheel. Serve with a straw.
