The Champagne Cocktail is one of the earliest variations of the classic cocktail formula of bitters, sweet, spirit, water and the progenitor of an entire family of cocktails.
The twist on the classic (swapping champagne for a spirit base) is simple to make and it’s delicious.
- Drop the sugar cube into a chilled champagne flute (preferred over a coupe here). Soak the cube in the Angostura.
- Fill the glass with champagne.
- Garnish with a twist if you so desire. Voila!
