William Perbellini from Los Angeles, California, who is the Bar Manager of Bar Toscana, won Amaro Montenegro’s 2016 showdown with his ‘Montenegro a Colazione’ cocktail – meaning ‘Montenegro for breakfast’. The drink was inspired by the aromas and flavors of a classic Italian breakfast.
- Build as a sour. Combine amaro, lemon juice, orgeat, egg white, and jam in a tin. Dry shake to emulsify.
- Add ice and wet shake to chill.
- Double strain into a coupe.
- Garnish by floating bitters on top.
