Quick Sips: A London Dry Gin. The aroma on Hendrick’s is strong and dominated by heat, almost like a grain spirit. The signature cucumber taste is very forward, and the juniper is bit more subdued than your average gin. Viscosity is medium leaning towards the thicker side.
Backstory: Distilled in 500l batches, Hendricks is full of yarrow, juniper berries (of course,) elderflower, angelica root, orange peel, caraway, coriander, chamomile, cubeb berry, orris root, and lemon. Hendrick’s unique flavor comes from a final step in which Bulgarian Rosa Damascena and cucumbers are infused into the spirit.
