White Sugar Cube

Sugar cubes are generally white, refined sugar containing 3/4 of an ounce per portion. The texture of the sugar, makes it easier to extract oils from other ingredients as opposed to simple syrup which lacks the abrasive quality and chemical composition. They also hold the potential to sit in a glass and slowly disintegrate.

Applications: Sugar cubes are often used in Mint Juleps and Old Fashioneds.
